Minecraft 'Ender Melody' Beginner's Guide: Equipment, Weapons, and Enchantment Recommendations
Armor Recommendations
For armor selection, follow this upgrade path: Diamond Set → Netherite Set → Dragon Scale Set (obtain Dragon Scales by carving the Ender Dragon corpse, use with the Dragon Forging Template from quests at the Smithing Table) → Horror Set (crafted from Horror Steel, made by combining three types of Dragon Steel Ingots and Soul-infused Ingots; it naturally has the Unbreakable attribute).
Afterwards, consider the Great Sage Set. While it has slightly higher defense than the Horror Set, its overall utility is a bit lower—decide whether to skip it based on your needs. Finally, there’s the Divine Gold Set, which requires a tedious crafting process involving setting up an altar to make Divine Gold. If you encounter the Dune Sentinel that looks like a "Peashooter," defeating it can drop the Black Iron Set, letting you skip crafting that set from scratch.
Armor Enchantment Recommendations
Prioritize the following enchantments: Unbreakable, Golden Bell Shield, Thorns, and Unkillable. Additionally, Mutual Destruction can only be applied to the chestplate, while Blood Rage and Mermaid Transformation are helmet-only. Enchantments that boost movement speed, jump height, or regeneration are relatively less useful in practice.
Firearm and Attachment Recommendations
There are two types of firearm workbenches in the game; it's recommended to craft both. Here are some powerful weapon and attachment combos:
- AA12: Pair with the "Expanded Magazine - Hollow Point" attachment.
- Dragon Breath Spray: Pair with "Low-Profile Tactical Laser Pointer," "BCM Grip" or "PK-6 Grip," and "Shotgun Suppressor Attachment" (adds 1m range, optional). The "Looter 8 Tactical Stock" is especially recommended—though it has many drawbacks, it boosts fire rate by 90, and the other attachments precisely offset the aiming accuracy penalty.
- Sword of Light: Pair with the "Heavy Ammo Expanded Magazine." It mainly relies on explosive damage, making it a great tool against gun-immune bosses.
- Black Spear: Pair with "Ascalon," "War Core," "ELP-52 Zoom Template," and either "Daimo Hard Grip" or "Fukitek Reaper 56 Foregrip."
Firearm Enchantment Recommendations
For firearms, the top enchantment choices are Lightweight and Armor Break (quests will provide them). While other enchantments can be applied, their actual effects are disappointing.
Melee Weapon Recommendation
Carian Knight's Sword: Craftable at the Forging Table with a simple process. It's mainly used alongside firearms, specifically to deal with bosses that are immune to gun damage. For enchanting this sword, you can follow a similar philosophy to katana enchantments.
Katana Recommendations
If you enjoy using the katana mod, consider the following:
- Yamato: Drops from the Ender Dragon.
- True Yamato: Easy to craft—mostly high stats, making it a viable near-endgame weapon.
- Divine Hexagram: A must-have utility blade, primarily for its Super Attack "Phantom Cross Slash."
- Mutsuko: Extremely difficult to craft and drains 95% of your HP, so choose carefully.
- Nether Butterfly Sword: Higan and Purgatory Blade: Death Thought: Endgame choices for dedicated katana players. In the early stages, focus on one upgrade path, then eventually obtain the other later on.
Katana SA and Enchantment Recommendations
SA Recommendation: Go with Phantom Cross Slash without much thought; Sin Pruning is also a good alternative.
Enchantment Recommendations:
- Core Enchantments: Mending (Note: Never enchant with "Unbreakable", otherwise you won’t be able to duplicate the katana), Durability, Sharpness Unleashed (stronger than Sharpness), Soul Devourer (for gaining Soul Energy).
- Utility Enchantments: Mad Blade, Sweeping Edge, Ember Blade, Wither Blade, Flesh Regeneration, Soul Harvest, Strength, Gluttony, Stun, Truth Breaker, Frost.
- Special Use: Super Fight Master (essential for farming experience), Electroshock Therapy (note that it may destroy item drops), Reverse Knockback (for pulling mobs), Backstab (Heavenly Combat Skill).
- About Looting: It's not recommended to raise the Looting enchantment too high; keep it around level 30.
