The Ancient Era: The Rise of Civilization
When the world was born, chaos receded, and the first light fell upon the vast continent, the Ancient Villagers were born. They were the original masters of this land, possessing unimaginable architectural wisdom and power. Their hands could carve all things, and their will could build cities. In that era without conflict or fear, the entire world was their home.
The Ancient Villagers followed the veins of the earth, carving out intricate mines that extended the foundations of their civilization to the world's core. They built trial chambers from massive stones and runes, structures that remain intact to this day; they erected ocean monuments beneath the deep sea, guarding the ocean's secrets; in the plains and river valleys, warm villages were their havens for life and growth; in the rainforests and deserts, jungle temples and desert temples stood solemnly, bearing the gifts of nature and the faith of the ancients.
The Forbidden Gate: The Discovery of the Nether and the Birth of the Wither
When civilization was at its zenith, the Ancient Villagers sought to explore dimensions beyond their world. During a runic experiment, they accidentally opened a rift to the Nether. Facing the hellscape of crimson fog and lava, they built Nether fortresses as strongholds and constructed Piglin bastions at the border of crimson and warped forests, coexisting with the newly born Piglin race.
Disaster began with the fall of an explorer. In a desperate attempt to resurrect a companion who had perished in the Nether, the Ancient Villagers obsessively used soul sand and Wither skeleton skulls to construct a resurrection array. However, the ritual accidentally summoned the Wither. This monster possessed endless destructive power. It destroyed the Nether fortresses and, following the scent of the living, broke into the Overworld.
The Fall of Civilization: Flight and Mutation
The Wither's rampage brought wails of despair across the Overworld. Countless villagers perished under the black fog, their bodies twisted by dark energy into zombies and skeletons. The once-great ruins fell into decay: ocean monuments were occupied by Elder Guardians, mines plunged into darkness, and the spawners in trial chambers began to operate on their own.
To survive, a group of Ancient Villagers crafted an End portal and built a stronghold as a barrier. After entering the End, they constructed End cities. However, due to long-term consumption of chorus fruit imbued with void energy, their bodies mutated, eventually evolving into Endermen who lost their language and memories.
Another group of villagers hid in the deep underground Ancient Cities. When they attempted to open another portal to escape, they awakened the abyssal guardian—the Warden. The Warden swept through the city, and the Wither, which had pursued them to this point, was destroyed in its confrontation with the Warden. Thus, the ancient civilization was nearly annihilated. The few surviving villagers abandoned their architectural powers, returning to a simple farming life, silently guarded by Iron Golems.
The Evoker's Revenge: The Rise of the Pillager Army
As time passed, a villager named Aji, having long endured isolation and bullying from his kin, transformed under the erosion of dark power into a powerful Evoker. He occupied Pillager outposts and a Woodland Mansion, forming a Pillager army. Through dark magic, he cruelly transformed the villagers who had once harmed him:
- The strong were forged into Ravagers;
- The cunning became Pillagers;
- The fierce transformed into Vindicators;
- Those with sharp tongues were turned into Illusioners;
- Pure Allays were corrupted into vicious Vexes.
Aji allied with the Witches of the swamps and led his army to sweep across the lands. They destroyed villages, imprisoned Iron Golems, and the flames of war even reached the ocean monuments and Ancient Cities, triggering an all-out war among all races.
Finale: The Wither's Return and the End of All Things
At the height of the chaotic war, the aura of death and shadow energy concentrated on the battlefield once again triggered the forbidden array. The Wither reawakened, more ferocious than ever before. It ignored allegiances and began indiscriminately slaughtering all living beings.
The Pillager army, the Warden, Endermen, Iron Golems, and the surviving villagers were all annihilated before the Wither's power. The continent shattered, forests turned to scorched earth, and temples and fortresses were utterly destroyed. Finally, the entire world fell into eternal silence amidst the Wither's roars. The former glory and the flames of revenge all returned to nothingness.
